Production Design for Live Broadcast, Theme Parks and Experiential Events
Big thanks to Diosmer Reynoso at Evolution Global and Miral for having me and Cirque Berzerk in for a live cirque performance in the Red Theatre at Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi.
Production design duties included 3D CAD layout of all scenic, lighting, video and SFX elements, onsite technical direction of rigging points and soft goods, lighting design and direction, cue building and show systems integration.

Thank you to Brian Morgan, Diosmer Reynoso, Roberto Warnert and Julian Phillips for bringing me back on such a unique and challenging project, and once again it was pleasure collaborating with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and working with the terrific creative team of Phillip Bucknell, Lama Kaddura and Nicholas Coen at #Avantgarde.
Big thanks to my hard working crew- Robert Coelho for heading the project up for me, Saer Aboushakra w/ Events to Remember for AVL support, Ahmad Abdo with IT Techsquare, and Prince Alexander and Dave Selby at IPS Integrated Project Solutions for architectural lighting. And lastly to my dear friend Esther Rovin for making the trip over and her fabulous landscaping and beautification efforts.
In late 2022 I joined the experimental marketing company Avantgarde as Head of Technical in charge of architectural and theatrical lighting, audio, video and IT for Liwa Village– a first time event created held in Liwa, south of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The festival was conceived as cultural event and community gathering point for the nearby seasonal off road competition held at Moreeb Dune and featured live performances, an immersive dinner experience and F&B retail kiosks featuring the finest of local vendors.
The festival opened on 16 Dec 2022 and due to popular demand was extended till Sunday, 8th January 2023.
Yet again Ted Ferreira calls with one of the most intriguing projects ever- to previz and create custom animation of the exterior architectural LED for the new Ferrari World Theme Park in Abu Dhabi.
I couldn’t imagine a more amazing project to work on. Thanks again!
